At NPE, Processing Technologies, LLC (PTi) of Aurora, Illinois USA, showed its TITAN Plus®, based on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix software platform and the PanelView operator interface. The company says that the TITAN® system enables operators to consistently run complex sheet-extrusion systems "across a wide range of operator skill sets that are common in today's production facilities," adding that the system is "housed in a newly designed ergonomic console with unique features such as triple touch-screen capable panel that swivels 180°; printer access and storage cubbies; durable work surface; USB and AC ports/plugs; alarm light bar; and optional integral seat."

PTi also unveiled GLOBALINE® which, PTi says, is configurable as a compact unit for inline thermoforming or a full-lenght configuration for producing roll stock. The company says that the GLOBALINE® will allow processors to efficiently produce smaller runs of sheet from materials such as PP, PS, PET, and the bioresin polylactic acid (PLA). www.ptiextruders.com.
