PTi Announces Second Generation TITAN® Computer Controls for its TRIDENT® Extrusion Systems

Aurora IL – PTi is proud to announce their new TITAN® and TITAN Plus®  family of PLC Controls for its Trident® Series Extrusion Systems. The new TITAN® represents PTi’s next generation of reliable, modular and scalable control systems designed to provide operators with full line control, diagnostic and trending capabilities. The system is housed in a newly designed ergonomic console with unique features such as a triple touch-screen capable panel that swivels 180 degrees; printer access and storage cubbies; durable work surface; USB and AC ports/plugs; alarm light bar; and optional integral seat.

“PTi has created a control system enabling operators to consistently run complex sheet extrusion systems across a wide range of operator skill sets that are common in today’s production facilities,” according to Tom Limbrunner, PTi’s VP of Engineering.

Based on the rugged and dependable Allen-Bradley ControLogix PLC Platform and the PanelView™ Electronic Operator Interface, TITAN® offers optimal serviceability and ease of deployment, with the flexibility to meet the most demanding machine control requirements. For enhanced data logging capabilities, control redundancy and additional printing options, PTi offers TITAN Plus®, which integrates a Windows/Wonderware –equipped computer with the control system for expanded functionality.

TITAN® Features include full machine control functions such as start/stop pumps, drives, temperature loops, etc. Machine Status Display; Alarm/Faults Status; Recipe Creation; Data Logging, Trending and print screen functions. TITAN Plus® offers redundant operator interfaces, enhanced trending and data logging, PDF Viewer and extended report printing capability.
