Processing Technologies International (PTi) Names Matthew Banach Director of Sales

AURORA, Ill., Dec. 23, 2013 - Processing Technologies International LLC (PTi), a leading global manufacturer of high-performance sheet extrusion machinery, has announced the appointment of Matthew Banach as Director of Sales. 

Banach, a 26-year plastics industry veteran, brings an extensive range of experience in thermoforming technology, processing, converting and product development to the position.  He will direct PTi's sheet extrusion systems sales managing both direct sales staff and regional sales representatives for all geographic targeted markets.  Banach's appointment is an important move in the company's global growth strategy as PTi looks to tap new global markets for its high-performance sheet extrusion machinery, according to Dana Hanson, PTi President. "Matt's extensive technical background in thermoforming and his broad range of expertise in the plastics industry make him a highly valuable resource as we expand in the global manufacturing marketplace," said Hanson.

Prior to joining PTi, Banach was responsible for developing and managing cross-functional teams focused on cost savings, reliability improvement, waste reduction and process improvement for Dart Container Corp./Solo Cup Co. from 2009 to 2013. He joined Solo Cup Co. in 2004 as Manager, Tooling Engineering. 

Banach also worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for Eberle Manufacturing from 2003 - 2004. There, he increased tooling sales, enhanced engineering capabilities and broadened the firm's customer base.

Before joining Eberle, Banach worked for 7 years with Pactiv Corp.; 2 years with Dart Container Corp., and 7 years with Future Mold Corp with in various corporate engineering roles, including new product development, SAP development and implementation, process engineering, start-up, research and development and tooling design.

Banach attended Central Michigan University, where he studied Industrial Engineering  Technology/Management and German.
