PTi is a leading manufacturer of high-capacity co-extrusion sheet systems for thin-gauge packaging applications, including inline thermoforming of deep-drawn PET beverage cups and related containers.
PTi’s proprietary technology is designed to maintain consistent melt temperatures, and provide rapid, controlled cooling as the sheet passes through the roll stand. These capabilities are especially important when producing crystal-clear PET sheet for food, beverage, and consumer packaging applications.
PTi’s thin-gauge co-extrusion systems can support multilayer structures of up to eight layers, allowing manufacturers to combine resins and additives to achieve specific performance, barrier, appearance, and cost requirements. By optimizing the distribution of materials throughout the sheet structure, these systems can help reduce virgin resin consumption while maintaining the clarity, strength, and processing characteristics required for thermoformed packaging.
