AURORA, IL., July 2, 2019 — Processing Technologies International (PTi), the world class leader in sheet extrusion, has recently undergone organizational changes in staffing to best adapt to industry needs.  Brian Winton, who joined PTi in late September, is working as PTi's new Director of North American Sales and has been instrumental in the changes occurring at PTi.  Brian originally started his career managing turnkey projects for sheet extrusion, thermoforming and downstream equipment sales, including plant infrastructure specification and installation.  He worked for converters and equipment manufacturers in manager, director and vice president capacities at Modern Machinery, Lyle Industries, and Brown Machine, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for SPE Thermoforming Division.  He now brings to PTi over 34 years of plastics industry experience, with extensive thermoforming equipment knowledge.    Brian's extensive experience in the plastics industry is well-aligned with PTi's emphasis on high quality sheet extrusion and the importance it is to the thermoforming process.  He contributes greatly to the company's overall growth strategies, while working closely with industry and business leaders and management to clearly understand their current and future needs; assisting customers with determining the economic impacts involved in making or buying sheet will be a critical focus.  According to Matt Banach, SVP Sales and Marketing, "Brian's background further strengthens our ability to serve our thermoforming customers, especially those in the heavy gauge industry, and help them maximize the quality, operational and financial benefits of extrusion."

The reorganization and inclusion of a Director of Sales comes during a time when PTi says farewell to one of its own.  PTi's Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Richard Busse, retires after dedicating 18 years of service with PTi. Busse joined PTi in 2001 and has since acquired a combined 43 years of technical equipment sales in the plastics Industry.  Prior to PTi, Busse worked for companies such as:  Alma/Spartech, Egan, John Brown, Milacron and Davis Standards.  His work ethic and commitment to quality service were instilled at a young age--during his training and service in the US Navy, where he spent two years of active duty on the aircraft carrier USS Lexington.  Busse's vast industry knowledge, interpersonal skills and professional persistence have been instrumental to PTi, developing and establishing close bonds with extrusion leaders throughout the Midwest.  For his dedication to PTi and country, we thank him and wish him all our best.

Accommodating for the change, Brian Winton will oversee the introduction of two new Technical Sales Engineers—Rob Williams and Jeff McConnell.  Rob Williams, who has 12 years of sales management experience with PTi, will be responsible for a geographic area, along with strategic customer assignments.  Williams has a thorough understanding of the PTi equipment, processes and applications, as well as customer relations.   Utilizing Rob's technical and system configuration knowledge makes for a seamless transition and ability to maintain customer needs and expected levels of service.

Jeff McConnell who has recently joined PTi brings with him 20 years of experience in the plastics industry.  McConnell spent 20 years serving in various roles at Spartech Plastics, with his latest position as Packaging Support Engineer.  In addition, McConnell has extensive experience in new product development, technical extrusion, packaging systems and thermoforming.  Jeff will also be responsible for a geographic area, along with strategic customer assignments.
