SUPER-G® Multi-NIP®
PTi SUPER-G® MultiNIP® Roll Stands feature a seven-roll, all-nipping design engineered to provide rapid, uniform sheet cooling while producing high-quality sheet with ultra-low orientation and excellent lay-flat characteristics.
Patented roll stand technology and PTi’s roll toggle design provide consistent roll gap seating for precise sheet processing. Available in Vertical, J-Stack and Horizontal configurations, MultiNIP® systems combine high thermal capacity with a compact equipment footprint.
Thermal Analysis
Thermal analyses demonstrate how the MultiNIP® design rapidly cools sheet while maintaining balanced average web temperatures throughout the roll stand.
Testing evaluated 10-, 40- and 80-mil unfilled polypropylene sheet at a 55-inch width and production rates of 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 lb/hr. The results demonstrate rapid cooling and balanced sheet temperatures, supporting the production of low-stress, lay-flat sheet for demanding applications such as Form, Fill & Seal.
